Wrestling - Part 3

I have only been logging on to wwe.com precisely because of the Bloodline and the fact Roman is and has been champion for a very long time. Waiting for the day when the title says “Reigns Reign is Over” or something like that. So logging on just now to see how the big title match imagine how annoyed and frustrated I am to see the article that actually is up. Other than that I am struggling to find a sustainable interest in wrestling. I have so much else that takes my time.

Are they ever going to let RR relinquish the titles? Are they ever gonna give it to someone else? Was it 2020 he won both titles? THREE years! August 23, 2020 according to Wikipedia he beat The Fiend at SummerSlam to win the Universal Championship and then at the Survivor Series winning the WWE Championship beating Drew McIntyre on Nov 22.

It’s becoming farcical now.

Hadn’t seen it but won’t bother now Cody doesn’t win. Sure the bairn will be gutted.

I’m pretty sure they will still go with Cody but they are going to dilute it by the summer splitting it into 2 again I reckon.

That's why you're reading articles and not watching him live, because you're not worthy of our Tribal Chief.

Acknowledge him and he might forgive you.

Astonished Cody lost. Now what? The Rock at Wrestlemania 40? There's no one else.
Called the result last week on the basis they don’t know how to get the belts off him and what to do afterwards. No lover of Rhodes but he could have at least had a baby face run with the titles for a bit instead he’ll probably go on a boring feud with Solo now.

Cody isn't the face of WWE material. I don't know why anyone thinks he should be tbh.

It might be Gunther who takes it off him. They do regard him as a future top-person of the company. He's the 2nd longest IC title holder and the longest ever Royal Rumble entrant, they're throwing the kitchen sink at him but not shoving him into main event territory right away.

I agree, if he had won it's reign would have been a few months.

Agree with the Gunther thing too, he's phenomenal at the monent.

Would love to see Gunther do it but I’ve got a feeling Seth will be back in the title scene soon enough and he’ll take it off him.

Now we know why Reigns retained the title.

Probably going to end up seeing Reigns vs McGregor at Summerslam. I loved the first night of WM but almost everything about Night 2 screamed Vince booking all over it. We are screaming out for a big babyface run with the WWE title and Cody was the one to do it. Even if it was just 4-6 months because we've had an insane title run for the last 3 years, it would've been the right change to make.

That and Belair is going to be pushed to the level that Reigns was as a face and I can see the crowd getting sick of the same routine week in and week out from her.

I can tell we are going to see a lot of crossover between UFC and WWE now, but I can see it being to the detriment of the people who have worked their way up the card and now Vince will no doubt take back over as Head of Creative again. Damn I'm bummed out a bit after that.

I don't think you necessarily have to be the face to take the titles. I think they should have had Cody win and give him a run until summer or Survivor Series, Reigns is not even gonna show up for most of that anyway so makes no odds.

Then if Lesnar is hanging around have him beat Cody and carry the titles to Mani where he loses to Royal Rumble winner Gunther and that match could be huge.
