Wrestling - Part 3

Danhausen has only been on TV a couple of weeks and he is already Orange Cassidy level stale.

That segment he did with Hook on Rampage was absolutely aids
I don’t like it either cringey as hell but people seem to like him, he’s definitely not my cup of tea, hopefully when his legs fully recovered they put him back on ROH for a little while.

Dynamite last night a few points -

Adam Cole and Christian had a banger

JOE JOE JOE JOE!!!

They need to stop bringing the Hardy’s out every week in a stip match let them have a couple weeks off

Fair play to Jade Cargill she’s getting to the point where she will be a megastar in womens wrestling, she still needs to improve In ring but training with Danielson will help

FTR and Young Bucks was class, absolutely love tag team wrestling. FTR look like they are getting massively over by simply having great match after great match.

Yeah FTR v Bucks was superb.
My highlight of the night though was MJF putting the headset on and saying "How you doing Tony you old prick".

I don’t watch as much as I used to, kind of just read the results these days but fuck me they need to take the belts off Reigns. It’s boring now.
Theyve not got a single talent theyve built to a position to take it off him.
Big E had potential and they booked him terribly.
Rollins, Mcintyre, Lesnar all beaten by reigns now
I reckon if they get The Rock for wrestlemania, Reigns drops it at Rumble to "someone"after interference from the Rock

Would love it to be Walter/Gunther if they eventually move him from NXT.

Vince has a hard on for one word names
Which is wierd, considering all his biggest stars haven't had them.

Hulk Hogan
Randy Savage
Bret Hart
Shawn Michaels
Dee-sul (one worder - failure)
Steve Austin
Triple H
The Rock (ok, that's probably a one-worder)
Brock Lesnar
Roman Reigns

So one out of all the main names I can think of from the top of my head. Well, 2, but one was as disaster. And that was still "The" Rock, not just "Rock".

Aye it’s baffling I don’t think having one name makes you any more marketable.

By the way, did I miss any actual stars between Rock, Brock and Reigns? Or is that the big problem - they've never had another actual star since Brock until Roman, which is why they've had to force him for ten years.

Oops, I missed Kurt Angle off my list, but he was imbetween H and Rock really. (Jericho, as much a he's great, was never "the man" for WWE)

You did miss John Cena! Unsure if intentional you can’t see me

They've had loads but blown most of them.

Cena
Edge
Orton
Batista
Punk
Bryan
Rollins
Ambrose
Wyatt
Strowman
Miz
Barrett
Ryback

Probablys others I've missed. Apart from the first few they completely messed up the rest when they were on the verge of making that leap.

I'll admit Ryback was shit and I only put him there because he had a period where he was super over (and he lost something like 9 PPVs in a row at that point).

The Fiend was super over and they killed him to put Goldberg over in like two minutes. They done the same to Owens as well tbf.

Ambrose was super over and they teamed him up with/put in a feud with James Ellsworth ffs.

Bryan got jobbed for ages and then they retired him.

Punk actually made mainstream news and they had him job to HHH immediately then had 900 year Kevin Nash kill him and was unable to continue the feud because he was too brittle to wrestle.

Miz became a sideshow to Cena and the Rock.

Strowman they just didn't push for some reason when he was massively over.

Barrett, well he was injury prone but they literally jobbed the whole of Nexus to Cena in an 8 v 1 match lol.

You’ve forgot to mention that Kevin Nash sent a text to himself

Cena yeah
Edge was never "the man"
Orton was never a star, just "around" the top.
Basista I suppose, but never really did all that much
Punk - absolutely yes
Bryan - for the fans, yeah. Mainstream star, nah
The rest, nah
Pretty sure those last 2 were a little joke

Just imo of course

In not saying they were the man, saying they could have been if pushed right when they got over. WWE dropped a bollick on them.

Last two was taking the piss but they did get over huge and then WWE didn't know what to do other than job them out.

Fuck me, I forgot that. WWE writers really are the drizzling shits at times.
