There is but I think Skype for business lets you lock certain options by the admin.Pretty sure there's an option in Skype to increase the amount of time you can be inactive before your status changes to Away or Inactive.

This is the killerDone so for the last 10 years.Pros outweigh the cons even if just to avoid the commute from Seaton to Darlo each day . Dont really have the chance to skive as we used Skype for business across all the offices in Europe and if no mouse activity for 5 or 10 minutes you light changes from Green for available to Yellow for away
Had a look in Options and couldnt see one , mate

Found it and it is indeed lockedJust checked, in mine it's Options and then Status. Yours may have been locked by admin though as already said.
I've one of these that keeps the mousepad active while I have a lunchtime nap

I’ve started coming back into the office 2-3 days a week because of that exact reason. Its alright. Except the mrs (no) constantly asks me to do household shit when im on a conference call or busy
Im at home. Doesnt mean ive disposable time
You used to be able to stop it by changing your status, so you could set a permanent state of away/busy/available etc. Probably locked by admin too.Pretty sure there's an option in Skype to increase the amount of time you can be inactive before your status changes to Away or Inactive.
Just set it to 'Do Not Disturb' because obviously you're involved in a task that requires maximum concentration.Just checked, in mine it's Options and then Status. Yours may have been locked by admin though as already said.
Great ain’t it?
No. Means your lass and I have to go elsewhere during the day now you are home
Great ain’t it?
Nah, I'm done with it to be honest. I've done it for a year next month but I'd be happier working in an office as long as it wasn't too far from where I live and the people were sound.
@Charmless ManThe Skype status is only a problem if your boss/supervisor is a creep who tags you for status updates imo.
Depends how much you do it mate
You need both
I work only from home, don’t think it suits me
I’d say 1 day from home, 4 in office be best
