Wissa Statement

Wouldn’t you think after what Isak has done to them they would want to avoid players who are acting in exactly the same way. It’s practically a mirror image, including the statement.
All the fans care about is will it make their club stronger, and only use the moral arguement when it suits them.
Didn’t hear many of our fans complaining when Kenynne Jones went on strike to force his move here.

“I received a formal offer from another club and communicated I wanted to join. I was under the impression, from all my conversations with Brentford, that there was a mutual agreement to part ways.

I must do what I feel is right for my career and family and insist that Brentford honour their promise to let me join a new club and at a fair price

who is he to say what price newcastle should pay for him.

Loyalty works both ways though - when a club wants rid of a player who is under contract, they find ways to make them leave, and there have been many examples of that
When a club wants a player out the player is still picking up his full wages so is still getting rewarded. Flip side when a player is refusing to train and play the cluh is paying a wage and getting absolutely nothing in return. Football players can’t be bigger than the club.

When a club is looking to get rid of a player they are left out of the squad, look at Chelseas so called 'bomb' squad.

No loyalty both ways, yet its only the players who are vilified.

If a player refuses to play or train they would be within their rights to stop his wages as it’s a breach of contract surely?
I’m not condoning behaviour like this but was just saying it works both ways.
Really don’t know why teams would keep unhappy players anyway, Brentford and the mags have brought this on themselves as they told the players they could leave

Those here itk were ower the moon to see him go anarl.
I said at the time I didn’t want us signing players willing to go those lengths as it’d bite us on the arse eventually. His unprofessionalisn eventually did.

Not been in favour is part and parcel of football and sport though. If you’re no longer in the managers plans then so be it but still picking up your full wages. Its two completely different scenarios

The agent/player should have agreed a price with the club and got it in writing, same for Isak

It’s not though because clubs and players both want to end their contracts early when it suits them.

That’s what baffles me. Is he also the chairman?

Footballers are so out of touch. I know obviously you lot want Isak to go but it's a shame this sort of behaviour is rewarded in the end and they all get what they want for behaving like spoiled children.

Get that point of view but look at how they’re treated when clubs want to sell them for the counter argument.

Put in bomb squads, made to train with the kids or on their own, clubs putting out snippets in the press to vilify them…

There’s no loyalty either way

love it if liverpool offer £50 million and say striking players are not worth it . he could have very good season and then real madrid want him and be on strike next year

Compared to what the average fan earns he is very wealthy man
But…he will know what his good mate Mbeumo is now earning since moving and wants some of that.
I realize the loyalty issue and how he goes about it is irksome to many but we shouldn’t expect footballers to be held to greater scrutiny than other employees.
Given his background/upbringing I have no doubt the numbers probably bandied around are unimaginable.
He probably has 4 or maybe 5 good ( better than Brentford ) earning years left and I would say his agent and lawyers are saying not much can stop him
He who is without sin cast first stone

I think Wissa has panicked as Newcastle have moved on to the Wolves striker.

Isak should get done by tomorrow.
