Winning the Lotto. Why go public?

The fact the I could potentially win the the lottery every week is what's keeping me going to be honest.

Why do the lottery and stay working? Is that not why people do it, to give up work.

I can understand that logic if you work for someone else in a dead end job,but some people might have a different outlook if they have their own businesses.

You'd be hounded the rest of your life.

I'd have to think for a while before telling Mrs Exile tbh. I'm not sure I would even tell the family for a year or two, let the curiosity die down.

Not really ,I know people who have that level of money and certainly arnt hounded by anyone .

No chance would I go public. I'd tell friends and family, and pay off a few mortgages but that would be it.

I would work just to see how long it would take for me to be asked to leave.

I would go on the sick for a year, full pay for 6 month and half pay for the next 6, but I would donate every penny of that to a charity

I was on holiday in Florida a few years ago and bumped into this lad , think he was from Washington or Penshaw , got his life story in a few minutes, couldn’t wait to mention that he’d won £1m on the lottery.

Worked at Nissan iirc.

Don’t kid yourselves that every lottery winner wants to keep it quiet.

Jack my job straight away and start up on my own.

Make sure family and close friends were sorted

Remind the kids that they still have to find jobs and that I would match their annual salary with a payment once a year. If they only earn £5000 a year they only get £5000 a year on top from me

I like my job, and my bosses, but 21m, id be sat in the airport within a few hours.

With £21 million I wouldn't be sat in no airport, I'd be on a private jet getting the fuck outa here
