Wilson


He’s always made good runs, last season the players didn’t have the quality to pick the pass regularly for him.

He seems much stronger on the ball and in the air this season which is a surprise, he’s looking like a good player at this level and he’s still only 25.
 
I was not a fan of Wilson he came to make the mackems dance for big chunks of last season. But fuck me he’s handled the step up well. His XG must be 4000%

……that’s more than me tbh. I thought he was decent in the Championship but would struggle a bit in the PL. I’m more than glad to admit I’m wrang so far. Very very wrang.

When I saw the bump I thought eh? I've been pilloried on here for backing Wilson to do well.

Can understand why people might have had doubts, the myth that anyone who cost less than 20m is automatically not prem quality hadn't been shown to be utter bullshit yet.
 
a great example of a player who will be better in the PL than the Championship

Higher defensive line to get in behind, less thugs to chop him - ie CBs who try and play football more rather than just chop and clear

Seems to have worked on his aerial game too
