Pretty sure he tried to go back to France pretty early in his time in Russia.He’s French and may want to get back to Europe to get out of Russia. How would that be possible if no one dealt with them? Ludicrous people are calling the club for signing a French national
I understand people’s concerns but because he’s playing football in Russia doesn’t mean he condones or is helping with what’s going on out there. He’s simply playing football

Dear christ. I'm in disbelief mind that some posters are that desperate to be negative that they're likening signing a French player on loan to war crimes.
We have a section of our support who love to dwell in negativity. No one knows this lads personal circumstances, I’m hopeful we get the deal done and look forward to seeing him play!
They had an obligation to buy in his loan I think

Some people need to give their heads a wobble like, I think russias run by a dictator and I hope Ukraine win the bloody gruesome horrible invasion but why should a French lad who plays in Russia be punished for crimes of one mental loon?. I hope people keep the same moral high ground when it comes to their everyday life’s as I’m betting something they use, buy, etc has links to slavery or horrible people like putin. You’ll have some crazy knackers up the road somehow comparing this to them welcoming the beheadders In a full takeover

Not the point at all. No-one is arguing we shouldn't be involved cos he's Russian - the people on here that are getting called gonks or pretentious or whatever are saying we shouldn't be paying money to a Russian club. It's that simple.
None of us know what money is involved and who is getting it, if there actually IS any money involved in this. If there isn't, then nowt to worry about. If money is changing hands, then people have a right to question the morals of that going to Russia.
Some of the 'football's corrupt anyway', 'other clubs have done it' or 'no-one will care if he bangs in the goals' responses just makes us sound the same as the Mags - and they'll be all over this if we pay money to a Russian entity / person / club while lambasting them for the regime they 'deal' with.
In my opinion, anyway.

Signing a French lad from Russia is in no way shape or form, even remotely close to the mags.
If the mags signed a player from the Saudi league nobody would bat an eyelid. However they are completely ignoring the fact their owners commit atrocities and actually wear tea towels and Saudi shirts, all in the hope they win a trophy. That’s before you even get into the protests about bad man Ashley and his 0 hour contracts.
The only way you could remotely relate these two situations is if we were bought out by one of putins right hand men and walked around changing f the Ukraine.
It’s either mag wums or people are that blinded by not wanting to be like them they can’t see the wood for the trees.
