UK sells arms to US, India, France, Germany, Israel, Oman, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. It's easy enough to take the moral high ground over a French footballer playing for a club in Russia, but the arguments weaken when one considers the role of the UK - albeit indirect - in conflicts around the world. I would be delighted if we can rescue Isodor from his Zenit hell !

Pretty sure he tried to go back to France pretty early in his time in Russia.

I understand people’s concerns but because he’s playing football in Russia doesn’t mean he condones or is helping with what’s going on out there. He’s simply playing football

I'm generally a bit thick on this sort of thing in terms of sanctions, rules etc.... so no idea if we're finding a way to get around them, which involves us giving money to Russia etc...

But if we are, I'd say it's not ideal and a bit disappointing (albeit probably not surprising)
