It highlights the quality difference between the top four and the rest.

There is 17 points between third bottom Stoke and 7th place Norwich yet 20 points between Norwich and Ipswich on 3rd place. How crazy is that.

West Brom, Hull, Norwich and Preston in 5th,6th,7th and 8th positions respectively have lost 10,11,12 and 12 games respectively.
It’s quite conceivable that one of these or even two of them could make the top 6 losing 15 games or even more.
