The money we've spend and wasted on players I'd rather have seen the likes of Waghorn given a run in the team then some of the shite we've had.

Surely we could have loaned them out and developed them enough to be even squad players?

You seem to think the players don’t have a say in things. Hourihane wanted to follow Keane to Ipswich for a start. How long do you expect players to be happy being packed out on loan when the reality is if we were still in the PL they’d probably never have broke into the side because they wouldn’t have progressed in the way they have.

We released him because he was badly injured and it was touch and go whether he would make it. It has taken him years to develop to the level he is at now.

Louis Laing was always talked about as the better of the two, was also badly injured and has never cracked on. It's not that easy to predict how players will develop after you leave them.

Fair points, its frustrating as fuck though seeing players we've let go playing at a higher level.

It would be interesting to see the starting 11 and subs turning out for us at the time these were breaking through... its clear they had the potential which wasn't realised when at us.

Reserve team football is dead simply because of the number of subs that can be named each game now. It used to be no subs, then 1, etc etc is it now 7 on the bench ?
 
No we won't unearth a gem for a looooooong while...we are digging in the wrong place and using a rubber spade.
