Wijnaldum

I like how The Chronicle say the ball is in Newcastle's court because Wijnaldum came out and said "I need to wait until the clubs agree a fee before I can talk to someone"

'Someone' could be anyone; us, mags, PSG. Unless I'm mistaken, they've posted another piece of bollocks.
But apparently he has said Newcastle is beautiful, it doesn't look good.

When did he say that?

He can live in Newcastle and sign for us - half of our squad do I think
Was talking to Fox news or something, Mag article here still could be shite like but I'm sure he will be on the move within the next week the question is where to? Newcastle are being heavily linked with many papers.

"You need to know what intentions a club has with you. In the end, your feeling determines whether you want to go to that club. Of course it’s a beautiful club, like most clubs in England."

Does no one proof read that bag of shite website.

He loves the league just needs Big Dick to welcome him with open arms. Maybe Dick is making them suffer before stealing him away last minute?

I've got no choice but to criticise them, the last few years, both on and off the pitch has been nothing short of an utter shambles. From shambolic appointments of Di Canio, De Fanti et al to absolute howlers in the boardroom from Margaret Byrne, believe you me I'd love nothing more than club start to be ran properly and us being successful on the pitch. How anyone can just think everything is rosy and point blank refuse to criticise is beyond me. Here we are now, a month from the season starting and still the team is no better than last season despite all the mouthing off of "5 or 6 quality players", the club are only interested in finishing 17th, no ambition whatsoever to do anything else, I'm absolutely convinced by that.

I'll absolutely guarantee 100% you can't produce any evidence whatsoever of anyone claiming everything is rosy.

I'm sorry to break this to you but you're talking shite.

Exactly. Bigger price = better player in the land of the idiots

If course there is a correlation, but no one has infinite funds - you do better by spending more wisely than your opponents and by employing a proper coach.
We have done the latter, let's give the former a chance

Agree with this, read Soccernomics and it makes a pretty compelling argument for spending on wages versus transfer fees. From memory we were one of the guilty parties highlighted for waxing cash on a succession of pump.

He didn't need to say "it's a beautiful club" he could of just said "the prem is a great league" he only added "like most clubs in England" incase they come in as well but reading into it Newcastle seem to be serious.

Still not signed yet, long way to go. Can see this run until deadline day.

Come on then misery guts.

Who have Newcastle, Leicester, Villa, Palace, Norwich, Watford, Bournemouth signed yet? Anybody you wish we had?

Everton interested now according to Twitter

For £15 i would rather sign Downing and Lens, and I bet Ellis Short would too

If we can get these two, and Newcastle don't get Wijnaldum, it'll be a good transfer window

I agree... but still would love to see us swoop the mags for effect and entertaiment value...
