Wigan make another massive loss

There’s two clubs I’d wouldn’t batter an eyelid if they went bust, due to their fans. Ones just up the road, the others Wigan. The amount that came on here when they won the World Cup by signing charlie wyke was mental.

Is the idea that we might not get the same amount if money for say Jack Clarke that we’d have got a few years ago, therefore we cannot spend that money elsewhere?

The jury is out whether Clarke will ever become a (successful) Premier League player, so bigger teams who might have had bigger budgets & flexibility might have punted on him for example, the teams lower down who he’s more likely to play a bigger part in will have less cash to spend due to tighter FFP.

That’s the simplistic way I see it like. Feels like football is changing a bit.

Ipswich are just another one who are blatantly cheating. 150% of turnover spent on wages is never ever going to sit within the rules. And breaking the rules is, let’s call it as it is, cheating. But the EFL will let them get away with it like many other teams are
Hope those grapes don't get any more sour
