Why does nobody care?

It is not picked up by the mainstream press as you lot as fans dont even care so why would anyone else?

West Ham protest and its everywhere rightly or wrongly.

We DO care but unlike your horrible lot we are shite when it comes to boycoutts etc.

But can organise flyovers and flowers? How embarrasing that you cant organise something/anything when it matters. You lot just give up and stay away.

I wouldn't brag about that f***ing cringy

Doing fuck all whilst claiming to be amazing fans and watching your team slide to the 3rd division is better like.

From Quinny from last year

This was the most telling paragraph for me:

‘There has to be an overhaul in terms of the club and what it is there for. To hang on for a few years as it has done has made it tough for the fans. Where do they go? Is the club in freefall or can it sustain itself again with a defined plan from top to bottom that everybody buys into?’

If there was any plan it was only on the financial side - ie save as much money as possible. The football side of things seems to have been forgotten about.

Our club is in the north east which is mostly ignored by the rest of the country.
Until they want something from us

Saying that we had three teams in the PL last season...think of how bad it’s been for Yorkshire. One struggling unfashionable team while their great rivals Lancashire win everything in sight.

I care, but ........

there’s fuck all I can do about an owner that doesn’t want us, basically asset stripping to get as much out as he can (tbh as much as I hate it, it’s his right & privilege ).

So it has to run its course.

As I said on another thread ... I support Sunderland, the people, the name & the area ... not the temporary twats we have atm - both on & off the pitch.

We will be back

Mind that's another thing, sometimes it feels like sky and the media in general only bother about one club in an area unless they're successful, or in London. The argument about who is bigger out of us and the mags is a tedious one at best but I'd certainly argue that it's a close run thing, looking at the coverage of the two, however, it's disproportionately in favour of the mags. Hell even when they were the ones in the lower league I still felt they were focussed on more than we were.

And in Yorkshire you'd think Leeds are the only club. Just have a look at how often they're on sky ffs, I'm sure recently something like 6 out of 8 games of theirs were televised. At least when they did it with the mags they had the argument that they were playing the best football in the division (or near enough). Leeds are mediocre but still get masses of coverage compared to other similar sized Yorkshire clubs like Sheffield Wednesday.

It would take a lot for us to get a lot of coverage of our plight, the media simply isn't interested in telling the tale of Sunderland, they've bigged up the other big club in the region that much that no one outside of the north east (or very few) give a fuck

Why hasn't Quinny even said anything?
What do you want him to say?

From Quinny from last year

"Niall Quinn thinks relegation could be the best thing for Sunderland's long-term future, but only after a period of "soul searching and deep reflection"

That says all you need to know about Quinn's wisdom.

Too many gagging orders signed imo
These gagging orders must last a lifetime then.
