Why do you never see dead birds?

There must be billions of them but you never see a dead one, well you might see one but considering there must be more of them than humans its just odd how you never see many.

Their bairns usually end up splattered on the road. Have seen a few this week.

Most birds are rapidly eaten by all kinds of animals.
They also decompose quite fast and basically scatter to the wind.

Thousands of them around here mate,think it was a young one that didn't fly off fast enough.
