Not that many famous people from Sunderland in general I guess.. Hard to see why it should matter, not really like you compete with another club for the kids support.

There's a massive club just up the road we compete with for young hearts and minds...

But to answer your question its probably because we are a city with a relatively small population, most people are happy to live and die working here and don't make anything of themselves, there's not a great deal of appeal for people outside the city to support us considering we have mostly been a relegation fighting yoyo club. I don't really care tbh, I love the club and for some weird reason I reckon love this city and living here! Ftm!

Kevin McGuire you mean. He's a massive Lads fan.

I bumped in to him getting of the train at Norwich Station this season on his way to the game.

Got a pic taken with him and had a quick chat. A top bloke.
