That's worked for Burnley but it won't for us, Moyes and Short haven't a clue.
Cheers for the input. Loved the self confidence.

It has been destroyed.Cheers for the input. Loved the self confidence.
Did anyone look at our available playing staff and think we'd win this game? It could happen of course, football is a strange old game but come on, against a powerful, hard working, well organised side with a none too shabby home record? A side that's been several years in the making.
I'm afraid I have some bad news for you people. Very little will change until we get a few players back, and then nothing will change for a while after that because they'll be off the pace for weeks. Then not too much will change for a long while after that because the club is a basket case, we're suffering from an accretion of mistakes, years of them, like barnacles clinging to a hull they've finally made it almost impossible to rectify whilst maintaining our premier league status, the dry dock awaits us. Unfortunately circumstances dictate that whoever we place in what is an extremely hot seat the job to rebuild this club will require time, player churn to raise cash - reduce wages, plus a lot of hard work, and that's if we have the right man, there are no guarantees in professional sport. As I said months ago, it'll get worse before it gets better but take heart from the side that deservedly beat us this evening, they've shown the value of sticking with their man through the tough times.
My view also. He doesn't look happy to manage Sunderland. He won't be long term. The problem for me, and many others I would think, is that the man in question appears utterly disinterested in sticking through the tough times himself. So maybe we do have the wrong man, aye? As you say, the tough times are certainly here to stay and we're past looking for a saviour. But we shouldn't be past looking for someone who's willing to make the most of what's in front of him. Dugout Dave isn't the man.
I don't. The bloke has backed every manager who has been here. He backed Moyes in the summer.
Is it unlucky or is it poor preparation?
No he didn't. Moyes' hands were tied.
Bad luck.
Agree hank and this is my concern he's wasted the money he's spent on shite. Some will say Ndong is decent maybe but not convinced and certainly not worth the money we paid. Still not convinced by Moyes but who do we realistically get.He didn't have to blow £5 million on McNair & love when he could've gotten Mvila for roughly the same price
Dealt a bad bad hand my arse
His transfer dealings have been woeful
Couldn't agree more with your post Taffyduck. He's had plenty of time to be doing better. If his name wasn't David Moyes he'd have been sacked by now.
I like him but he's under achieving at the minute and he's not going to be sacked so we've no choice but to get behind him.
Is he still backing moyes?
He's not our manager anymore. Is he still backing moyes?![]()
Weird.Rather strange
Weird.
Agreed. Just seen this mate. Perhaps we now have a chance to be a football club again, as opposed to being a gentleman’s leisure resort?Did anyone look at our available playing staff and think we'd win this game?
