I see the latest Chorlton releases are up on their site...
The Caol Ila sounds lovely but picked up a pair of 26yo Ledaig from sister casks at the weekend so I’m trying to talk myself out of buying anything else.

I currently have over 50 bottles. I've promised myself no more bottles until Christmas. The Caol Ila sounds lovely but picked up a pair of 26yo Ledaig from sister casks at the weekend so I’m trying to talk myself out of buying anything else.
The buying is almost more addictive than the drinking.I currently have over 50 bottles. I've promised myself no more bottles until Christmas.
Wonder if stick to it
I’d have expected the Caol Ila to be gone quickly, always is no matter the bottler.Gone now
It is mind. Which is why I know its absolute bollocks that I'll not purchase any for 5 monthsThe buying is almost more addictive than the drinking.

Last one I "bottled your own" was a Balblair 13yo and it was £95 about 3 or 4 years ago. Not cheap by any stretch.Didn’t buy that much, in fact it was more replacing bottles ( couple of Glenallachies and Glenfarclas for example)
Thought I’d manage to get the Glenallachie CS10 for example from the shop but none of it about from distillery shop or other local shops.
Tempted with the odd “bottle your own“ from single casks but these were really pricey, more so than I thought they’d be. Enjoyed trying them though.
Also found out that the Glenfarclas 185 youngest malt is apparently 14 years. Thought from description it had far younger stuff in. That’s if I was told the truth of course
My drink of choice in hotels as the lager is usually rankTry a Rusty Nail. 2/3rds any blend plus 1/3rd Drambuie. Lovely stuff and will suit your sweet tooth!
Thanks. I've snaffled a bottle of the Craigellachie.3 new North Star releases if anyone is interested. 11yo EWC (£70), 8yo Craigellachie (£44), 7yo Caol Ila (£44). All cask strength. The sub £50 bottles will go fast I'd imagine.
Seems to be a bug on the North Star site where it insists on you shipping to Slovakia.....
Not before time as apart from the ‘Mourinho’ their last release was November. I’ve had four bottles in storage for ages waiting to add a further two and have them delivered.Looks like Whiskybroker are finally going to start bottling again. They're just released a list of casks they're intending to bottle.

A little disappointed with the prevalence of sherry casks amongst them.

The 13yo?I’ve cracked open the Cadenheads Macduff bottling that I bought on my visit in June and it is absolutely magnificent.
12 yo. 50.5%. Released in June IIRC.The 13yo?
Ah, I think that was a 2019 release. I got the 13yo from last year but not cracked it yet.12 yo. 50.5%. Released in June IIRC.
Anyone qualified for the Facebook Daftmill bottling?
Yes I did I'm the same I hardly go on, in fact I only have a Facebook account to access whisky groups but was lucky enough to get one, think its a great gesture.I did, even though I very seldom visit the group. Was just fortunate to be a member of the group before the bottle was offered. Not even sure when it's being released. Did you get one?
