As a sunderland fan growing up then in north Tyneside it went from late 80s/early 90s both teams on a par/shite/no money, not that many fans, and general interest in newcastles team was lukewarm

as soon as they got keegan in, stayed up then started spending crazy money the amount of new fans/gloating/self satisfied gloating was pure torture

especially as we were enduring cunnington/ buxton/butcher/ian rogerson then bob 'coconuts not peanuts' transfer spree that all got wiped out driving the wrong way around a roundabout!

and the 'WHOSE NEXT' season ticket advert with the photos of cunnington etc then a mystery man with a question mark in it.

When we moved to the sol I thought it would always be as good as that/would be established like everton or someone, but we have made so many shite choices.

I preferred the 'whose next' headline after they'd had a good win a week before the derby and we kicked their arses again :cool:
 

Are the mag-majority raised as poultry farmers? The amount of chicken counts, empty trophy cabinets & facial egg over recent years is quite alarming - and very humorous!

I remember watching the Blackburn game in the Nicky nack in croxdale. There were two County Durham mags in there, one was the landlord. I’m going bezerk and those two took it really badly. Deserved in my opinion as it’s situated about half a mile from the river wear. Fuck them
 
Remember being down Tranmere when, just as they had scored word had got out that Man Utd had scored, so we were all celebrating just as we had conceded. The look on the Tranmere fans faces was hilarious. :)
 
We used to ring the local and ask if whoever had scored against them was in. First time we did it was from a phone box outside The Cliff asking if Arsenal's Scott Marshall was in, they went mental on Graham Fenton night
