You'll have a good time in Sunderland mate. People who don't tend to be pretentious prats. Like you say, every night out is different and it's always good to have a change anyhow. Sunderland is a canny not out.

BTW the Roker hotel itself has two restaurants. An Italian and a Chinese. There are also a few indians and a few italians along the sea front. But like I said before, Asiana is the best in my opinion though.

Around Sunniside way, Sloanes can get busy before and after the match. It's a modern-style pool hall, plasma tv's all over.

As I said I'm a Durham lad and have very little idea of Sunderland.
 
should definately have a look in the casino though, not unless we lose as I lost £300 drowing my sorrows in there after the 5-1 defeat, pint of stella is £2.50 though so all is not bad

Anyway, we're from Durham and my mate, a Sunderland fan, is from Newcastle and we don't know Sunderland ........ I've been following the Lads for 40 years but have only ever drunk in Sunderland before the matches, rarely after.
