What's the most out of date food you've used

Not out of date but I ordered a Chinese the other week after getting in from a couple of pints. I hadn’t touched the hot and sour soup and left it out on the bench. Stupidly had it the next day - shrimp, pork and chicken. Daft but got away with it

It’s not daft it’s normal. As long as you heated it through it’s fine man.

I didn’t though mate, it had been out at room temperature all night and morning .

Rule of thumb....."use by" (especially meats) you should be adhering to.
"Best before" is open to interpretation and can be confirmed by the "sniff test".
I'm an absolute pussy with a delicate gut so I tend to be a bit wary of exceeding either tbh.

I wouldn’t worry about using things after the best before date, they won’t harm you, just might not be as nice.

Use By - definitely be cautious, but its not like at ten to midnight they are perfectly safe and ten past midnight they are dangerous.

This isn't a thing that should have to be taught but good post RTGAdmin mate.

Opened on Christmas Day 2020, been lurking on the top shelf ever since.
