Weight Gain

Thanks lads. That article Titus posted was interesting and understandable. I guess I came up with the claim of 0.5-1lb per week based on advice I've read as a beginner.
 


Think I posted on this thread earlier on.

I did a marathon in April and after the training I'd gone down to just over 10stone, I'm usually between 10.5 and 11.

Went to the docs last night and I'm up to 10st10 (with me shoes on) so reckon I've put on about 8 pounds in 6-7 weeks.

Been having a protein shake + fried egg white on toast for breakfast

Snacking on unsalted peanuts and fruit during the day

Chicken sarnies for dinner

Pasta and chicken or salmon for tea

2litres+ of water per day

Gym every other day (weights, stretches, sit ups, only cardio is running a mile home and rowing machine 5 mins), if I go to the gym I have a Cyclone energy bar beforehand and then another protein shake afterwards.

Feel topper for it. Hoping that my weight levels out at 11stone. Going to carry on with the diet but probably introduce a few more carbs and start running / cycling a little bit more.
