@LukeJH96

Goalkeeper:
Anthony Patterson - Not tested, doubt he'll start
Lee Burge - Not good enough

Right Back:
New Right Back - we hope, the season starts one week on Saturday
New Right Back - we hope, as above

Centre Back

New CB
Callum Doyle - Only 17, I think he'll be used sparingly
Tom Flanagan - Inconsistent, when he's good he's good when he's bad he is absolutely shocking
Arbenit Xhemajli - Not fit, will he even play this year?
Oliver Younger - Untested

Left Back - we hope, as above, but currently we don't have a full back. Unacceptable really.

Right Midfield
Lynden Gooch - Sound, but will pick up injuries as always, often out for weeks at a time.
Jack Diamond - Needs to step up big time, not enough end product but needs time.

Centre Midfield
Corry Evans - We'll see, apparently injury prone.
Luke O’Nien - Never looked particulary great in midfield.
Carl Winchester - Ok as backup, can't see him controlling midfields.
Dan Neil - Untested needs time.

Left Midfield
Aiden McGeady - Class
New Left Midfielder - We hope

Attacking Midfield
Alex Pritchard - Currently out of action and missed pre-season, Huddersfield fans couldn't stand him.
Elliot Embleton - Had a good season at Blackpool, needs to prove his worth

Striker
Ross Stewart - Looks as though he has the right attributes to do well but needs to start scoring consistently
New striker - We hope
Aiden O’Brien - Not good enough

Based on the above, there's a hell of a lot to do. It looks grim at the moment.
Spot on.
Having no full backs at this point in preseason is a shambles. Your point regarding Burge is also a good one. Doesn’t matter how many quality outfield players we sign, if he is our main keeper then he will cost us at least 10 points over the season which will see us finish in the playoffs at best. I feel there is too much hope and expectation being placed on Patterson being good by some supporters.

Yes but evidence, based on previous windows, suggests that we will probably end up panic buying/loaning and making a mess of it. We’ve left ourselves with a hell of an amount to do imo. Hopefully some of the young lads step up, we will certainly need a few of them to.
Different majority share holder, different recruitment team and different manager - what's happened before is irrelevant it's frustrating and annoying however they're probably trying to be a lot more sustainable with money.

Weaker how, how's letting the likes of scowen power Maguire leadbitter getting weaker when you've got talented lads like Neil embelton

What did he say it may as well have been
We are weaker because we have lost the best defender in the league and the only player who actually knows where the net is .

The argument 'Play the youngins, that will work' surely people can see that while some are decent, some aren't capable at the moment of long term football at this level.

We need quite a few players, both quantity and quality really.

That squad/team won't get Play Offs even.
Ooooof here’s a bookmark post if Ive ever seen one. Season not started and we have your prediction stating we will fail.

Best defender in the league ? Subject to opinion but I must admit I've seen Doyle in the last 3 games and imo he looks better than Sanderson

Wyke did well last season no argument but so far in pre season we've scored goals from all over the pitch

But football is all about opinions

We will come up massively short if we don’t get a decent striker .
Doyle will be fantastic but he is 17 and I’ve yet to see a boy of that age be able to compete for a full season against seasoned pros
