but the supermarkets should be controlled, reduced numbers, social distancing, masks. If someone wants to buy a birthday card they should be able to.

it’s not hard to understand and it’s not even a shock because the worlds gone f***ing mad and some people obviously think this is right.
Sure. Whatever you say mate.

Im not arsed either way mate.
But we’re all entitled to an opinion, if you think stopping people buying birthday cards or clothes for their baby whilst in the supermarket is going to stop people getting the virus then fair enough.
But for me some of these controls are just f***ing ridiculous. Social distance, wear masks, reduce numbers in store, more home deliveries, that’s spot on completely understand and agree but this is just pathetic.

So despite been warned and given plenty of time to buy a birthday card or children's clothes they need to do this now ? They are trying to stop the idiots going out and infecting others because they like to go out.
If you can't see that then fine but to describe it as pathetic some up why we are in this mess.

It’s not about controlling people it’s being fair the the business that can’t open.
Why the fuck should Asda etc etc, sell clothes and just because a clothes shop doesn’t sell food they cant open.
I honestly don’t see a problem with this, they are trying to be fair across all retail shops, yes it looks daft, but it’s for a reason.
More to worry about than clothes and books not for sale for a few weeks.

Or maybe clothes shops should start selling milk and bread then they can open up ?

Take a step back and actually look at it, not many people are gunna queue up for the supermarket just to get a card but even if they did so what? What’s the difference from people queuing up just to buy a bit of food or snacks and drinks they don’t really need?
Have you never bought a birthday card or any card last minute because you’ve forgot or just found out?
If your in the supermarket anyway it makes no difference at all whether you buy a book or a bag of chips. It’s control not following science. It’s absolute bollocks. Control measures are already in place in supermarkets.

be interesting to know the rate of transmission in Tesco bet it’s very low.
Im also sick of people saying it sums up why we are in this mess, why because someone bought a f***ing book? It’s ridiculous and people no longer see how ridiculous it is which is worrying.

I literally cannot believe you are trying to pretend any of this is normal and makes sense. You have lost your mind.

I reccomend getting some fresh air and having a quiet word with yourself.

You are normal ? If you agreed with me then I would go for a walk.

Exactly how they were before and it was fine. The world (or should I say Wales) has gone utterly mad. This will backfire on the decision makers. They're telling people to go to work apparently to keep the economy going, but now are basically dictating as to what people can and cannot buy in a supermarket. Hopefully the Welsh kick off about this

Seems fair enough to me. Pissed me right off during lockdown when I'd queue for food for 40mins only to see someone wander out the store with a single potted plant or something and nowt else.

Doesn't make much sense to decide what's essential and what's not imo but the bloke in film ripping everything down is being a knob and achieving nothing.

The supermarkets have their instructions, the people who work there are just trying to do their job. He is causing problems and looking for confrontation with the wrong people for the sake of his 5 minutes fame. Utter wanker.

we queued for 45 mins to get in a Sainsburys during the last lockdown, a lass in front of us had a distinctive yellow top on ( which is how I remembered her) and after doing our full weekly shop which took about 30 mins, we saw her leaving the store same time as us, with a single bunch of daffodils.

She should have been locked up for such a crime

I can remember when people we're crying about plastic trays for food which are useful and now we're wrapping up whole sections of shops and no-one is saying anything about it. Amazes me how much some people get on bandwagons lately and really don't care about it at all.

I really don't understand why we can't just have all shops open but with a one person, one basket / trolley rule and no socialising at all under any circumstances. No-one in their right mind is going to shopping for the sake of it by thereself but it gives the chance for people who actually need stuff ie presents etc to go buy it if they want and keeps a few people working.

In an ideal decent world I guess they would not have to resort to such measures, sadly we have so many thick and selfish morons who could not behave properly when things were open.
