VW car - EGR valve needs replacing

Maybe injector. There’s a garage on leechmere specialised in diesel (performance something) they are class. Diagnosis needed mate.

Have you used that performance garage at leech mate as may call in there for advice tomorrow

Got told doing that can affect all sorts of other stuff like ABS etc

Aye mate. I ended up going somewhere else to get an injector fixed. But the lad put it on the machine told us exactly what it was he even made the phone call to get it booked in the other garage as they were busy and i needed the car sorted for graft.
It was just the fact he had the proper tester as the fault that came up from the AA said egr but it can throw that up for out. And he never charged us and was transparent. I’m sure he does the egr cleaning and makes the software good for about 230. Great lad like I will be going there from now on.

I’ve never known it, doesn’t mean it can’t but I’ve never seen an ABS light come on as a result of blanking off an EGR. They have different control units normally.

2 local garages wouldnt touch it mate, said too complex and no guarantee egr wouldnt go again
thought of keeping it blanked and re-map but want to keep it another year or 2 yet
vw pulman did it but offered no goodwill/discount, turned me over really

The original AA bloke said it had “gone “ and needed replacing that’s what garage at roker told me also that it was knackered , just took their word for it . Would never get a diesel again and lost all goodwill with VW
