Feedback is that gift aid only applies to the donation element of the fundraising. The ticket elements have a perceived value in terms of what people are paying for what they are receiving in return and hence gift aid can't be claimed on those elements.
Yes that sounds right. Shame you can't split the donation and value portions but it's an online portal so not a surprise really. Absolutely fantastic work, congratulations.

Futhermore, if the perceived benefit exceeds a certain level. Gift Aid can't be claimed at all. That's what scuppered the old zoo/NT etc trick of letting people Gift Aid annual tickets. They're known as Gift Aid benefit rules. For donations of £1-100, the limit is 25% of the donation.

I am claiming back the mileage of the travel cost of the virtual ticket at 26.3p per mile, amortised over 3 years, deducted from cash flow.
