Victor Anichebe very close to return...

I'm sure Dave the Rave will be playing the big lad to assess his fitness. He might just be leading our attack next season.....on the other hand he could easily be ditched as a crock.

Fine margins:neutral:

People can laugh all they want because 'Anichebe', but the fact of the matter is that we actually looked like a football team when he was playing and a genuine attacking threat. We have got no chance of staying up without a massive contribution from him. The way he holds the ball up is invaluable.
Spot on

I've honestly not seen anyone for Sunderland hold the ball up as well as Anichebe does.

The only one that comes close was Quinn, but even then i think he was more about the flick ons than actual hold up play.

We need to get him fit and offer him another years contract for next season. I know he doesn't appear to have the best fitness record, but he would do so much damage to the championship. Also for free he is worth the risk, as our squad is going to be on it's arse next year, we need as many decent hungry players as we can get.

Vic Halom did it will (maybe it's to do with being called Vic), and Bob Lee was better at it than he was given credit for.

Moyes last week.

"My aim is to get Victor back for as much of the month of April as I can. I can’t guarantee that, but we’re doing everything we can".

Rush him back early and it will be the last we see of him for us.

Been following his progress in America on Instagram. He's been keeping fit throughout the injury so should go straight into team when specialist says he's ready.

Truth is take the Hull, Bournemouth and Leicester games out of the equation he has been absolutely dreadful in the others he's played in.

if we can go on the same run when big vic first came into the side then who knows......
It wouldnt get us out the bottom 3

Big Vic is magic. If he plays the last 10 games we'll stay up no question.

Tin hat on but if he'd played every game this season and say Defoe had been injured and only played the games that vic had then we'd be mid table.

For the way we play, Vic is our most important player

Posted after the Burnley game we wouldn't win a game without Anichebe. Wasn't far wrong as we've only won 1

:lol: Please, please, please tell me this is a joke

Whod have scored the goals defoe has like? If youre going to say anichebe then please dont, it would be laughable

In fact ill go as far as saying its potentially the most deluded post ive ever seen on here if im honest

Anichebe. He has 3 open play goals this season. Defoe has 9. Anichebe has played like 19 games less + he'd be more effective in our situation.
