Ruling out goals for offside fingernails and 'handballs' not visible to the naked eye, but not giving stonewall pens because they don't want to overrule the ref

Like I jus said on the match thread, the way they've now decided to use it is completely negative - it's only used to disallow goals for handball or offside.

Referee on the pitch has the final decision. It really is that simple and if he stays with that, there is nothing var can do, on opinion decisions like a pen or not

The only decision taken out of the on field official, is if the ball has crossed the line for a goal

If VAR is going to be disallowing goals because someone's ear lobe was 1mm off side then it needs to be giving blatant penalties. It's a joke that neither the man city one or spurs one was given

Not true in the Prem, we're using it differently. VAR have been told to try and stick with ref's decisions as much as possible but have the ability to change the decision if they see fit. Take the Man City disallowed goal last week, decision changed by VAR.

Contentious decision at Molineux apparently ? Lots of cries Wolves penalty shouldn’t have been awarded, I think on this occasion red awarded it and awaited clarification via VAR ?

He got nowhere near the ball and took Kane down - surely it was the definition of a penalty. Cannot see how that wasn't a penalty. I really don't see the point of VAR - its just rubbish.

When it was brought in they said these arguments would disappear for ever. Absolute farce.
