In my opinion it hasn't ruined football, that's so melodramatic and OTT. More people than ever are watching the premier league. It continues to grow at rapid pace. If it had been ruined then the opposite would be true, no?
VAR has helped remove those painful and angering wrong decisions by referees that we experienced for decades. Sunderland have lost plenty of important games through bad refereeing. The refs just need to get better at using it properly as they are still making wrong calls despite having 3 officials watching it.
This goal was clearly offside, not by much but still offside. I can't comprehend how anyone can be angry that an offside goal was disallowed. Basically people are suggesting we ignore the rules of the game just to create an exciting moment. So perhaps offsides rules should be changed to allow them if it's less than an inch or two? Is that what you people want?
