Just talking about school trips and one of the lad's I work with said he went to the Derwent Pencil museum for a school trip once.

And I thought lightwater valley every single year was bad....

But looking about and it seems there's loads of these really obscure museum's across the UK

The UK’s most unusual museums you need to visit

A dog collar museum,

A cuckoo clock museum called cuckooland

The House of Marbles looks interesting, but a lawnmower museum???

Complete with image of a nice looking lady riding an old lawnmower

Anyone been to any of these? Any we would recommend are added to the list?

You need to investigate "Bollocks to Alton Towers" and "Far from the Sodding Crowd"

Been to the dog collar and the pencil museum.

I've been to Britain's first privately owned biscuit tin museum. It's in Manderton House in the Scottish Borders. It also has the only silver staircase in the world and I've walked up it

I would caveat that as "silver bannister".

I was expecting the steps to be silver aswell

Tis indeed

I once went to Northampton Shoe Museum to see the Docs worn by Elton John in the film Tommy. They were out on loan. The rest of the shoes were shit.
 All that way for nowt.

Reminds me of when I was younger there was a lad at our school obsessed with planes.

His Dad took him down south once to this "Red Arrows Experience" or something.

But when they got there it was just the blokes chatting to the crowd and doing a Q and A, they never got in their planes once :lol:
