Unusual Museums

The Marcos museum in Northern Luzon, Philippines. Lots of claims about his supposed war record, about as reliable as Donald Trumps

May have posted this before but there was a fridge in the back garden containingvMarcos mother with two mourners watching over it (this was April 1991). They told our lass they took the body out every few weeks to change its clothes. The body wasn’t going to be buried until the body of former President Marcos was allowed back in the country, the then government barred this.

Also been around the presidential palace in Manila (the shoes) and an out of Manila residence with its own golf course. Corrupt greedy bastard that he was

Had a spare day in Bangkok a few years back and went to Siriraj Medical Museum. It was an eye opener, or eye closer, depending how squeamish you are. Pickled bodies of murderers and rapists sit alongside bodies in various states of decomposition. Plus different body parts with wounds on them (gun, stabbings). Even had babies in the womb whose mothers had miscarried or been attacked or who were growing deformed (with 2 heads or conjoined twins). Don't go with a hangover!

I have been in malacagnang and seen Imelda’s shoe collection.

Gdansk has a museum dedicated to Amber and Torture. Which seems like an odd combination till you realise looking at yet another Amber shop is actually a torture of its own

actually every Eastern European city I've been to has seemed to have a torture museum,
