Transfer/Contract craic - that time of the year again

Also losing Salt to lancs
So both going to 100 hosts
Pity Bunny's still not playing. Could have Salt and Onions in their Crisp team
Surrey and Lancashire have always been stronger pulls than Sussex. They’re bigger clubs with test facilities in big city locations. Probably offer bigger contracts too.
Hasn't done either a lot of good- won f*ck all in recent years.

its no coincidence they are going to their host clubs

this is the start of something worrying and it will happen to Durham too

it’s scandalous man

Jordan isnt is he? And Salt is a Chester / North East Wales boy so is moving much closer to home.

Attributing both these moves to the Hundred is a bit OTT

You're right, it's going to increase the difference between the haves and the have nots but this has always happened. Surrey and Lancashire could afford Borthwick, Stoneman, Jennings when we were in trouble, Lancs signed Buttler, Surrey have signed a few from other counties and how many players have Notts taken from Northants, Worcestershire etc?

This has been happening for at least a decade. Far too early to say if the 100 is increasing the trend.

Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann are two names off the top of my head who left less fancied counties for Notts. Obviously in more recent years Jos Buttler and David Willey have moved to more fancied clubs and we’ve seen with Borthwick and Stoneman at Durham that there are financial powerhouses ready to tempt players at clubs with smaller budgets away.

Im not too sure what will happen with the hundred in future but won’t there be a continuous draft type system for a lot of players anyway?
