But he is being a real git. Why not play an U21 kid. Who will certainly get stuck in.

This was what I was thinking about his performance tbh but a couple of clear opportunities to challenge for the ball in the air made me think about effort but still not convinced that is the issue.
 
We’d be much better playing Mayenda or Rigg out wide.

Having said that I’d still play him over risking injury to one of those and drop him for the playoffs.
 
He won't play in the playoff games. If he gets injured, so what.
We are finishing 4th no matter what.
It is simply really annoying for supporters.

Yet he was on the bench the game after the deal was announced and didn't come on.

Why are our fans obsessed with these deals and contract agreements to play etc. Like a bunch of bairns

Should have been told to not even bother reporting for training. Done nowt but try to leave since he's turned 17.

Not all our best players are available yet though mate. I'd have Ballard and Mundle in for a start.

Loads players liked his post on insta that he was moving
tbf the club are trying to create a place where youn players want to come to better their career and potentially move on

if they vilify him, then it will put others off

like what would Jobe think...is this gonna happen to me etc?
 
The club should never had announced the deal, it’s put Watson in a position where every misplaced pass or unsuccessful tackle will look like he’s not trying because he’s away in the summer. It’s hard to distinguish between whether or not he’s not trying or just not very good, his defensive play and strength is generally very poor and was in most of his games before it was announced but because we know he’s leaving he’s going to get grief for lack of effort.

The crowd has gone toxic against him now and he shouldn’t be near the team, he came over and clapped the fans yesterday and looked very uncomfortable/borderline scared of the abuse he was going to get.
