Tommy Watson

He was one of our better players against Swansea which was just a few days ago not "months". He was disappointing today but would have been better with Trai Hume backing him up for 90 minutes.

I think we are a better side with Roberts in the team.
Roberts has to be the most overrated player in the history of this forum. However, his fans can relax because there is zero chance of any team bidding for him this summer.

A front three player who cannot score a goal. The only option worse than Roberts at right wing next season would be Poveda.

The f***ing rat should never have put the stripes on again after signing for another club. Weapons on here defending playing him for weeks as well, hopefully the crowd really go for him on Monday, make life as miserable as possible for him while he’s still picking up a wage here.
I hope they don't but I won't be there. If I was I'd most likely have a fight coz even he's leaving it'd be better to give him support during the game. Otherwise yer just creating a better situation for the opposition surely?

Even by recent low standards yesterday look below par. The sending off affected the team ...but many still keep going.

Not sure if watson is being played out of necessity and or becuase Wilson refuses play lw either which way he's a complete passenger ... if he want to leave us fine and he's getting unfair abuse for going .... but there good departures and bad ones and this is getting worse by the game...all compley sad and unnecessary

Coward?

Give your head a shake man.

The kids nowhere near the likes of Mundle (or Clarke), but he was hyped up that much on here, everyone bought into it.

He's not even Championship class, and for the club to get £10m is a belting deal.
It’s an amazing deal I agree. I stand by what I said.

Possibly did request it but the club should have realised that announcing the deal would only have a negative effect, the transfer window isn’t open so we didn’t have to do it. We’ve created our own problem.

Clarke deal wasn’t finalised and he’s a much better player. Watson is still very raw and has a lot of areas he needs to improve, especially defensively so he’s going to make a lot more mistakes make less tackles etc . Not saying he is putting 100% in but his poor performances aren’t all down to effort. We should just drop him from the squad as he’s not a Jack Clarke where his ability would cover the fact he’s leaving.

The deal shouldn't have been done in the first place. There's transfer windows for a reason, keep the deals within them. It should be announced imo, he clearly doesn't want to be at the club. Why should he be protected and the management take the blame instead, as his performances would have been as crap either way?

He's not yet good enough, experienced enough and strong enough to impact a game. His decision making when in possession is often poor and the defensive side of his game is a major weakness. His limitations are magnified at the moment because the team are playing this boring low block type game where we invite pressure and concede possession.
Difficult to understand why RLB picks him given the situation with his forthcoming move to BHA and having Aleksic available. (Not sure MA is any better than TW at the moment)
I don't think it's lack of effort in his part but more to do with the fact that he is a young, inexperienced player who at the moment is not consistent enough to make a sustained impact on the game.

I can't imagine Isidor would refuse to play.

Surely the obvious thing here is we are resting the important players who have played a lot. Players we want to rely on in the playoffs. Watson is none of those things. He will be dropped for the playoffs so no point in dropping him now.

When it matters he will be dropped

Lots of teams would be after Roberts.

I agree with a lot of that. But even subconsciously after injury and a move on the horizon in a situation where you're not proven anyway it's all rolled into one and having an effect. He simply shouldn't be playing.
