I think you're both right. John made an arse of himself, the bbc hasn't done enough to respond and panorama is cracking on as planned without the Tommy video.

Be interesting to see how you would've reacted had they got away with it though

Not interesting at all because they didn't get away with it. It was awful 'journalism' from a boorish man with an agenda rather than a story to tell. He gave the bigot an open goal to aim at. That's life.

That's the problem with a story so full of holes you can drive a car through them...people drive cars through them. The programme however remains on air because even though it's tabloid stuff it's still relevent.

It might make you wonder. It's just wallpaper to me. Loud man gets lucky and takes down one of the planet's biggest cult movements. Ego suitably inflated he tries a hatchet job on a bigot and fails miserably and shows his bit sel up. Sometimes you're on a high, sometimes you hit the bottom.

The men were told the next hearing will take place at Nottingham Crown Court on 5 December.
  • Mr Shazad, of Ewart Road, Forest Fields, Nottingham, faces 11 charges, including two counts of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying a sex act with an animal
  • Ansar Ahmed, of Radford Road, Nottingham, faces six charges including one count of meeting a girl under 16 following grooming and causing a girl to engage in sexual activity
  • Mohammed Saeed Ahmed, of Vale Crescent South, Nottingham, faces 11 charges including one count of raping a girl
  • Waqar Akhtar, of Glentworth Road, Nottingham, faces two charges: one of taking away a child in care and one of removing a child under 16 from a person who had lawful responsibility for them
  • Waqas Akhtar, of no fixed abode, faces six charges including two of engaging in sexual activity with a girl
No pleas have yet been entered in the case.
