I'd be amazed if it happens after what's come out.
One thing that does baffle me is the fact the Americans would tell the sun the deal was off, seems like an odd choice.

I remain of the view that what we are seeing is normal due diligence in a business sense, but most of our supporters not understanding the full nuances of this and going into absolute (but understandable) panic mode as this is so exciting

Where are they in the league though. According to that Barnsley fan who gets on here they sold the team from under the manager in the summer and gave him young lads to work with. Just because these people are (very) wealthy it doesn't follow that they'll spend that money. Barnsley have a policy of buying prospects and taking the profits. Can you imagine being relegated back to L1 when your owners are that minted.

Maybe that's why the negotiations with the Americans have broken down. Maybe they just want a sustainable club that costs them little which they can flip for a profit too.
