Thoughts on Everton's new ground?

I was invited down to the game by a good friend that has hospitality membership in the new ground, absolutely first class from start to finish, couldn’t believe it when I saw my allocated seat, about a metre wide with heated seats and a tv in front of the seat.
Absolutely mad but very enjoyable

Spurs has to be the best in the country including Wembley
The scale of Wembley beats it imo. To actually watch a match Hill Dickinson was better which is why I put that at no 2 so far. Just my opinion like. It's also quite hard to judge because as an away fan you usually get the shite bit. Old Trafford and Anfied were on class on the tour but their away ends, especially old Trafford were horrendous

Best 'new' ground I've been too. Enjoyed it more than Spurs and Brentford this week.

Spurs was nice, but too big and soulless. Brentford was like a posh luton going through loads of flats to get to the ground.

Everton was a nice walk along to ground, great outdoor set up and then the view from upper tier was spot on. Toilets had big queues where we went in, literally walked further round towards block 230 and was more toilets that were empty.

Noticed queues for food/drinks were big, but similar at SOL, although there seemed to be a few kiosks closed which was odd.

Atmosphere wasn't the best, but early FA cup games, early KO and Everton missing a few key players probably didn't help.

Aye I liked it more than spurs

Haven't read the full 12 pages. Is there any trend of peoples opinion depending on whether they were in the traditional away end or what is usually the home end?
We were in the upper tier and I thought, like a few have said; it lacked facilities (obviously their club shop was closed, there were other areas with shutters down too). Also noticed the accesses from concourse to seats were really narrow, not helped by having to dodge around some chunder one of our lot had left at the bottom of the stairs before the match.
Was sat pretty far back (Row 58) and noticed how long it was taking to get fans at the back out of the ground after the game. it's set up with steeper seating and way more rows than the SOL for example but still only one concourse level to exit.

Aye we were in the upper block what would be a home end and the facilities were inadequate, the walk through bar had a massive queue, to then stand in queue, they closed it before we got to the front. The bogs were massive but only had about 8 urinals.

its got a bit of character about it at least, for a new ground.

i think eventually they'll gentrify all of those old warehouses and dockland area and it'll be booming.

i liked all the old buildings around there and the brickwork fascade to the stadium. inside its very steep and very close to the pitch, which is good too

I went behind the stand that backs on to the Mersey where there's a terrace-like area where people can sit, mingle and pass the time. It was a bit blustery and cool on Sunday but will be a cracking place to watch the World go by when the weather's really good. I echo the comments that for a new build they've done well to give it a some character and it can only bode well for the surrounding area as buildings are repurposed.

I thought it was class, really good ground. Plenty going on outside as well where I'm sure they'll make a few extra quid, though we didn't use any of it. Easy enough walk from the city centre to the ground.

There's already a big regeneration project going on around there. It'll look totally different over the next decade. Essentially a whole new village in that part of the city with more housing, facilities and a park down that way.

The Tobacco warehouse is an absolutely huge building just next to the football stadium; it’s also very beautiful. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the conversion to flats will pan out. 👍
