Aye we've had two goalies both play at Rainton. One was a England international in the 1930 s. Yes he was opening the bowling, but only avaliable for a few weeks of the season and Tantobie do need the help.

Think the keeper from the 30s other son may have played an odd game while he was a pro keeper as well

What time’s kickoff?

By the way Walter you didn't turn up and I mistook you for the echo photograph that did !

What's his name?
i'm shite with names but Ben somebody i think? north country boy might remember his name. He was notable as he was rapid compared to any one else i faced in that league - should have been playing 1s easily iirc.

Wilson is it? Came through at Durham City IIRC
That's him, Ben Wilson. His goalkeeping stats suggest he'll be up here soon playing non-league. I never said that mind if he starts playing in the Darlington and District Cricket League.

Lot of lads getting paid in higher leagues are no better.
Proper cricket mate non of your timed shite.
To clarify Rob's point, there are several lads playing cricket in both the NEDL and the D&DL who would comfortably manage in higher leagues but like to play with their mates, or for their home village.
