I know man. I’ll still be doing most the stuff that keeps me fit.Mate mine are 13 and 11 now and we do all sorts but just preparing that your freedom is restricted when they’re little cos you’re at work then up through the night helping with feeds.
It’s not doom - but I love being out the house and doing stuff this is curtailed until they can do the things you like with you mate

It is not like this shit happens every year, get used to it!Struggling here. Not had a drop of booze since Sunday, so sitting sober as a judge watching boring fart telly on a night. Eating healthy food rather than dining out or hammering takeaways, so toiling away in the kitchen, which I can't stand. Absolutely buckled after a week back at work. Add to it that it's freezing cold, pitch black and pissing it down half the time. Roll on the summer.

Tbh I have jacked in being a pig at Christmas. I don’t do owt different now. Buy the same food and have the same attitude to drink. I feel manky when I eat loads of crap food and I absolutely HATE miniature party food. I won’t have it in the house. Mini shit on sticks. The cutting back on booze and healthy eating is a positive step mate.
Have you been talking to baby Jesus again Min?No, every day is a blessing. Just keep on enjoying lifer and looking forward to the next thing you've got coming up.
low energy is how i describe it. i think i eat generally healthy so not much to change, and i don't drink mid-week as it is. commuted to durham on the bike on wednesday as the apple weather app said it would be cold but clear & no rain... cycling for me is a great pick-me-up...Struggling here. You're not doing correctly by the sounds of it marra. Pleased theirs no blues though.Christmas seems more of a chore every year so quite happy to see the back of it and get some sort of routine in place again.
I class December as Christmas. Not one of these lunatics that has the tree up all month but as you say, the entire month feels good. People are winding down at work, people are socialising more during that month etc.I’ve struggled with it this week like, pretty much always do. Love Christmas me and especially love the time I get off work, but all of December feels like a nice month. This month always feels like very much the opposite. Even though it’s my birthday month, January is easily the bleakest of the year. Mind I feel better writing this now at nearly 4 o’clock on a Friday compared to how I felt on Monday and Tuesday morning.
Same here. I don’t bother with decorations, a tree, I eat and drink the same as always. Only difference is we stop at me parents on Christmas Day. It barely effects my life at all now.Christmas seems more of a chore every year so quite happy to see the back of it and get some sort of routine in place again.
What do you do different? It’s not that I don’t like it I just don’t see much point in doing anything differently. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be doing. Neither of us are arsed. You're not doing correctly by the sounds of it marra. Pleased theirs no blues though.

Not worth the hassle of doing owt diffevent At Christmas then by the sounds of it.low energy is how i describe it. i think i eat generally healthy so not much to change, and i don't drink mid-week as it is. commuted to durham on the bike on wednesday as the apple weather app said it would be cold but clear & no rain... cycling for me is a great pick-me-up...
f***ing pissed it down halfway to durham, and on the way back too... i bonked with 2/3rds of the ride left to go... tea was a domino's with a couple of beers to try and pick my mood up... :-/
Off work and the place during that month eases right off is the main difference for me. So where I might otherwise be working I'm out and about/relaxing/supping etc. People generally seem happier too IMO. I was puzzled about people thinking its a chore. I barely lift a finger tbh. And the little folk are excited, which brings it more to life (you'll find out soon hopefully).Same here. I don’t bother with decorations, a tree, I eat and drink the same as always. Are you on your last legs or summat? You’ve been very philosophical recentlyI'm more than happy with my lot Teed. Are you?
I f***ing hope not mate But like I say, you've got to enjoy everything while you can, life's too short. Seen too many people come a cropper over the last few years and you've just gotta count your blessings sometimes. I can't act like I did in my 20s or 30s anymore that's for sure.Aye I don’t see it as a chore. Just do the same as I do on any time off.
