Always remember it being played on look north after we won the third division. That's a Beautiful South song and wholly inappropriate for a funeral.

I like the redevelopment of the seafront, however I find Fat Buddha expensive for what you get.Smartin is a strange one doesn't seem to like anything about Sunderland. Whilst the song isn't "Yesterday" it is a catchy tune and the lad has a very good voice. Surely nobody could quibble over the lyrics unless they have an agenda.
Hide his charger!
See you can’t help yourself, even down to the cost of a mealI like the redevelopment of the seafront, however I find Fat Buddha expensive for what you get.

I was talking about fairground attraction, sorry for confusion, hoepefully you can now sleep tightFor clarity's sake, do we mean Perfect 10 by the BS here or Perfect by Fairground Attraction?
Just so I can go to bed and sleep easy tonight.
In your opinion. Our life? There hasn’t been a ship built in Sunderland in 30 years, whats this pathetic whimpering nonsense got to do with Sunderland?
And no, I’m not one of you, as I said, I’m not a sheep like you, if something is rubbish I say it’s rubbish.
Is it not just an 'English' thing, marra!? We always harp on about never being any good a sport or whatever, and when someone with a bit of talent comes along, they usually get crucified by the press. Euro 96 was prime example of this. One of our finest hours for me, but the press had a field day getting on the teams back. Really boils my piss! This forum loves to try and bury local lads![]()
Constantly competing for highest unemployment percentage in the U.K., same for benefits, same for underage pregnancy and lowest life expectancy in the U.K. but aye we have the bridges shopping centre...Some people moaning like c*nts
Its a good song, I think it touches people, including me
Listen, I agree that I don't like this crack in Sunderland about constantly looking back, ships, mines etc, decades ago and a generation have grew up with this, so a lot don't miss the f***ing ships etc. What I mean by that is Sunderland has a lot going for it, a lot, lets not just accept its a shithole, which is my main criticism of the documentary. By the way why is County Durham never mentioned? Absolute masses of Sunderland's support is from country Durham, not just this doc, in general, never mentioned.
PS, I do like the song and it made me think of me grandfatha, love it
Eye of the tiger?A good message doesn’t make a good song.
There is no pride in that song, no fighting spirit, you need a bit of light and dark in music, this is for want of a better word... whingey. It’s defeatist and melancholy... generally people of our area have put up with a lot, we can take the worst the world throws at us and still find a smile, we’re tough. This song is pathetic, whimpering nonsense, it needs something up lifting, something that represents the area.
Not.... we used to do stuff... we don’t now..... my dad worked hard and I’m sad because my iPhone battery is down to 8%.
That was perfect by Fairground Attraction and remember that tv footage well. Taped it on the video at the time. He was referring to perfect 10 by the Beautiful South.Always remember it being played on look north after we won the third division.
You’re trying too hard to be different and controversial, well in actual fact you’re just coming accross like an attention seeking tit.A good message doesn’t make a good song.

Tin hat on, but I’m not a fan. I think it’s a little downbeat for the theme music to a tv series
