The King of Thailand

Ahhh i read something different on a BBC article the other day.
They police and apply what are known as 'lese majeste' laws in Thailand.
Any whiff of insult or disrespect and you'll be hauled in.

Made his dog an Air Chief Marshal, seems like a well balanced individual
Whereas Prince Charles talking to plants and his love of astrology is the epitome of normal.

Bloke on BBC this morning saying the crown prince is a bit of a wrong un, very oppressive and had his third ex wifes family all locked up. Mind the bloke who claimed it had been chivied out of Thailand and honestly looked a wrang un so possibly not the best balanced view of the bloke.
Delve into her family and it's not hard to see why.
Lets be fair there's a hardly a government on earth that doesn't use it's power to shut people up.
Look at Edward Snowden

"Strict lese-majeste laws protect the most senior members of Thailand's royal family from insult or threat. Public discussion of the succession can be punishable by lengthy jail terms."

Maybe I read it wrong and it's only bad discussion is punishable.

There have been many instances where the application of lese majeste laws have been questioned.
Strictly speaking, bad mouth the royals and watch out

Probably blocked over there

Mentions that he turned up somewhere covered in fake tattoos and wearing a tank top.

What a character!

Not quite cross dressing.

I've read the article before which, to me, shows him as nothing more than someone who is waiting for his chance to become a "grown up", realise his destiny but would play hard until then.

I can't help but wonder how many on this board would turn down the life of a jet setter, with unlimited funds, until they had the opportunity to face up to their responsibilities.

My best guess would be very few.
