The Hundred - Free tickets

chairmen is one thing, but players? national media? i can't believe that. i suppose it's plausible there was some kind of NDA/gagging order tied into those payments eg to of county telling them to make sure none of their employees publically criticise, same with broadcasters.

it all stinks

sorry, but are you suggesting that we still pay their wages, except the 12.5% ?! thats a pittance as far as compensation if so
A "pittance", really ? They miss a maximum of 8 one day games out of a whole season ! That is potentially 56 days of first class cricket and 14 days of 20/20 cricket.
So 78 days of cricket and they miss 8. I make that 10.25%, and they pay 12.5%.

ah, if it is 12.5% pf their total salary then fair enough. odd way to do it though, why not just pay 100% of their salary while they're away. maybe that's just from my perspective though as i get paid weekly

still don't think it's worth it though, we'll lose alot more than just them being away, with the 50 over tournament on the scrap heap and playing a psuedo second team we'll hardly get the ticket sales we might have otherwise, imagine t20 will take a hit too, and less cc cricket during the best weather of the year no doubt.

it's all old news now though and nobody cares so i don't know why i bother complaining

Cheers, finally clocked when they said won by 5 wickets! I'd like to think it was obvious, but when they don't cover it on the official rules, and there was talk a few weeks back of wickets being called 'outs', I was starting to wonder if there was some other strange element to it.

Did seem close in the end, the win predictor swung wildly. As others have said will be interesting to see how the men's version goes for a couple of reasons. Bloody hate the onscreen graphics mind.

Saw most of the first match last night and thought it was an OK start. Clearly it will take time for tactics to develop just as it did with T20.

The white card thing is silly and the on-screen graphics are too confusing with information in each corner. On a big screen that a lot of head movement required.

For those complaining about the crowd, did they really expect a women's domestic game to sell out, especially when there is a pandemic going on? Most of the fixtures are double headers with a men and women's game which should increase crowd sizes even if most are only there for the men's game it gives the women more exposure.

I think the real litmus test will be next year when they’ll be full crowds possible for The Hundred and The Blast.
