Which is clearly not going to help grow the game of cricket.

Why? I work in Market Research for a company that specialises in Gen Z (16-24 year olds) and we work with all the top international brands. I can’t stress enough how important having social media “influencers” is this day if you want to grow anything. You might scoff but nothing is sold without them and young people really really take note of them.Which is clearly not going to help grow the game of cricket.
^^^^this....nowt wrong with it entertaining enough tbhDecent game and a great atmosphere towards the end.
Much better without all the boorish chanting throughout.

If you’re trying to grow them game outside of the standard cricket fan (this board) then female celebrities are far more useful then any current or former player.
They are gunning really hard for the radio 1 crowd, Mollie, Gregg and Vick all have shows which I'm sure they'll either mention it on or people will follow them on social media due to it. Also tailenders all seem to be tweeting about it, bbc will know the demographic of the listener to that so they'll have all the data. A lot of people seem to subscribe to that podcast who don't care about cricket. Why? Hope it does what they want it to do but creating a whole new format that nobody plays (for beginners) seems idiotic to me.
Just short of 8 an over. Whoopee dooWell according to sky sports the first team SMASHED 135 off their hundred
Cheers, finally clocked when they said won by 5 wickets! I'd like to think it was obvious, but when they don't cover it on the official rules, and there was talk a few weeks back of wickets being called 'outs', I was starting to wonder if there was some other strange element to it.Thats right yeah.
I enjoyed the finish TBF.
Is it not partially the case of just making it 100 because the maths is way easier (making it much easier to work everything out if you don't watch cricket). Easy to work out how much time is left, how many runs you need per ball etc. ?Agree with this

A little bit more than my 2,000 estimate but never looked like the BBC's 10 to 12 thousand.Attendance confirmed as 7,400.
Not really mate 20 overs in 120 balls, so same principle would apply. Is it not partially the case of just making it 100 because the maths is way easier (making it much easier to work everything out if you don't watch cricket). Decent effort that!Attendance confirmed as 7,400.
I’m aware of how influencers work, but how is someone who knows nothing about cricket going to sell cricket to new/prospective fans? Why?
