I agree, I imagine given this year has seemed to be more of a success, they may look at adding teams to draw in a larger audience.I do think would be slightly better if had two more teams one from South West and one from North East to cover your Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and for your Durham, Sunderland Newcastle areas etc and make it 10 teams.
Which would be a bigger spread geographically, and extend the competition, and extend the enjoyment and entertainment this years tournament has undoubtedly produced, but that would need change and flexibility in other areas to allow that.
And when Strauss suggested compromise it was meet with resistance so will be hard to do.
If they did that and changed it back to 20 overs I would be a happy man, only two changes I would make.
The Northern Superchargers team can easily be split, Headingley Hearthrobs and Riverside Raiders maybe.
I now have the top 5 teams covered with various free bets, with Welsh Fire being the lowest win as stuck a small “just in case” bet on. Had to take the edge off as you never know who’s going to drop out like Narine.
