The Hundred 2023

I do think would be slightly better if had two more teams one from South West and one from North East to cover your Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and for your Durham, Sunderland Newcastle areas etc and make it 10 teams.

Which would be a bigger spread geographically, and extend the competition, and extend the enjoyment and entertainment this years tournament has undoubtedly produced, but that would need change and flexibility in other areas to allow that.

And when Strauss suggested compromise it was meet with resistance so will be hard to do.

If they did that and changed it back to 20 overs I would be a happy man, only two changes I would make.
I agree, I imagine given this year has seemed to be more of a success, they may look at adding teams to draw in a larger audience.

The Northern Superchargers team can easily be split, Headingley Hearthrobs and Riverside Raiders maybe.

I now have the top 5 teams covered with various free bets, with Welsh Fire being the lowest win as stuck a small “just in case” bet on. Had to take the edge off as you never know who’s going to drop out like Narine.

I would add a team from the North East and Cornwall
Lords and Oval maybe combine as too close to each other
Maybe a team from Norfolk
Then you get a good selection of venues to attend near you

They've tried to align teams with areas of population density which would rule Cornwall out.

Typically, they did the NE dirty: we have a bigger population than the Greater Southampton/Portsmouth area.

It's all a crock of shit and I hope it fails TBH.

In the Beehive outside the Oval, people in County Cricket shirts having a few pints and enthusiast about The Hundred. Why do they want their cricket teams to die?!

Strange to see Birmingham Pheonix right at the bottom considering the talent in their team:

Livingstone
Ali
Milne
Duckett
Howell
Woakes
Kane Richardson

One of the strongest line ups in the tournament, yet they’re rock bottom and the first team out… even below the Superchargers with the likes of Wiese and Parnell!

I think a team has to gel aswell, even if they have a strong lineup

It’s true, but a lot of those listed have been in the team since the start. Just looks like they’ve got no spirit (pardon the pun). I like Moeen but sometimes he looks like he just can’t be arsed
Yeah, that's why Welsh Fire had a clear out as something wasn't working

Trent Rockets collapsing here

Nice easy pay day.

Turn up, wear the shirt, send a few balls down the other end but no need to give it 100%.

The same happened at the start of Packer until the man himself gave them all a huge bollocking and told them in no uncertain terms what they were paid to do.
