The great allrounders

Depends how far back you want to go, the great Richie Benaud and Keith Miller would be in with a shout.

Otherwise I think you’ve pretty much nailed it. Stokes has a little way to go but with if he continues in this vein for another 18 months he’ll deservedly next ranked amongst the true great all-rounders.

Kallis the best for me. The bloke an absolute machine.
Hadlee the best bowler, Kallis the best bat.

Kapil Dev carried a mediocre Indian attack for a lot of years.

Sobers I suppose was the complete all rounder as he could also bowl spin. His bowling not in the class of the all rounders mentioned though although his batting would be above all other than Kallis imo.

Imran a phenomenal bowler but despite better average than Beefy I’d say Botham was the best bat of that golden era.

Botham was irresistible for the first 5 years of his career and by 1982 must have averaged 40 with the bat and had around 300 wickets at an average of 21. Had he not lost form in later years due to ill-discipline and a long standing back injury, he could well have gone down as the best ever.

1. Kallis
2. Sobers
3. Miller
4. Botham
5. Akram
6. Hadlee
7. Kapil
8. Imran
9. Shakib
10. Ben Stokes
11. Tony Greig

Or thereabouts

When you think of all the great Aussies down the years its amazing they've never had a truly world class all rounder since the 50's.

Benaud and Davison in the 60's.
Shane Watson before he became a walking lbw in his later career (if you think I'm joking, compare his stats to BS)

Also a load you'd class as either 'batting all-rounders' or 'bowling all-rounders' who were good enough to be picked as a specialist, e.g.:

Steve Waugh
Mark Waugh
Shane Warne
Mitchell Johnson
Mitchell Starc
Pat Cummins
Stuart Broad and James Anderson on that list

Starc is at number 6, Anderson is 45.

Do you think Anderson is an all-rounder?

He isn't but if you bat and bowl you gain points as an all rounder on the rankings.

Ditto if you are a batter who bowls, you will end up in the bowling rankings. Root/Elgar/Williamson/Braithwaite all in the top 100 bowlers.
Laubaschagne ranked higher than Overton!!!
