Lost a decent Pike earlier.
Bite alarm went off, bobbin was bouncing. Looked across the reservoir and thought it was a Grebe as fairly close to where my bait was.
Half hearted strike, the fish felt heavy and took off then dropped the bait.

Stood there, swore as you do.
Lessons learnt and will be ready next time. Pushing my luck and going back tomorrow 🎣

Part of the game Amigo,thinking of renting a fishing hut after Christmas if it gets cold enough ,heated,the owner tows it out onto the ice and augers the holes for you.

There'll be some big cod around after them northeasterlies. Probably a few Lobster weshed up anarl at Whitburn.

Pretty sure That 27ld cod was caught off the Wherry back end of February the lad was fishing off the cliff and had to beach on the that little shingle beach and leg it down to retrieve it. Pretty sure there was a picture in the shields gazette fishing report back in the day. Might be mistaken as it was about 20year ago.

Was about 20 years ago but was deffo white rock where he caught it.
Gordon happer helped him land it.
29lb something it was.

Might have been another biggie caught but only heard of chappas
