I agree, it’s a generic name that was used for all large terracesAll main terraced ends have been called Spion Kops in the past though I think. It's to do with a battle in South Africa (Boer War iirc).

What do you mean ?The play coming to the Royalty Theatre in November.
The Damned United @ Arts Centre Washington
Whilst I didn't necessarily agree with the central premise of the book, should be a decent watch.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, that he was a lucky drunk and Taylor was the real brains of the partnership. What do you mean ?

Reading the book. That's hardly the central premise of the story. What do you base your opinion on ?
I quote, and I accept from Wikipedia, "David Peace's bestselling novel The Damned Utd, a largely fictional book based on the author's interpretation of Brian Clough's ill-fated tenure as football manager of Leeds United in 1974"Reading the book.
Book was excellent, film was watered down Michael Sheen impression-hour (he did a good Cloughy to be fair)
"younG mannnnnn, there's only one son of God, and that's my Nigel"I work with someone who reminds me very specifically of Michael Sheen playing Brian Clough
Bump. On next week for anyone interested.Haven’t read the book and never will, film is top notch
I've booked for the Tuesday.Bump. On next week for anyone interested.
So have II've booked for the Tuesday.
Saw in Leeds playhouse , excellent
I would assume so or just book online and show ticket on your phone.Pay on the door tonight?
At least one of the actors (possibly two of them) were in The Last Seam that was on at The Peacock last month and they were excellent. Not sure what roles they are playing.Same here, thought it was excellent. In fact the actor who played Cloughy was that good he was booed (admittedly tongue in cheek) by a few Leeds fans at the end
Provided You Don't Kiss Me is a better book.
What did you think? So have I

I enjoyed it and think the actors did a great job. The one who played Peter Taylor and the one who did various roles were both in The Last Seam so I've seen them before.
First time I've been in The Royalty despite living two minutes away.
Was there many there?
