One of the few groups with a female lead that I have paid to see, and bought their stuff.

Class gig when they supported R.E.M at The Arms Park, although lead singer of R.E.M Barry Siddall did not do a cover of Sweet’s Little Willy, which would have been topper

Saw the Cranberries at the Riverside, on the bill with the mighty 'And all because the lady loves' . About 10 people there and they were awful

Improved later and Dreams is a canny song .

RIP

Shit that's a shocker. They kind of passed me by at the time but the last couple of years I'd really liked their stuff. A few years ago went to Rome and stayed in an apartment and the only telly I could watch was the music video channel and Zombie was on about every tenth song and it was superb, one of the better songs of that decade.

fair enough mate, It was liquid silk to a few of us though

That weird hooting she does in zombie... nails on a chalkboard...

...and I love a good female singer. fiona apple or the punk twin harmonies in veruca salt, beth orton, etc. from that era...
