The overall death rate between the US and UK is pretty comparable; slightly higher in the UK, but they've traded places in the league table of dishonor a couple times.

Over 2k yesterday and at 1850 for today but they normally report numbers in until about 1am our time so could hit 2k again today

It's quite possible... They are getting nigh on 2k deaths daily now and that is the lag of cases being around 120k daily.
They are 200k close to daily now so if that translates down the line we could easily see 3k deaths a day racked up
