Ten German Bombers

Yeah, mate, fuming.

'Think you need an education in the difference between 'outraged' and scratching your head thinking what the fuck.

Brains eh? Going all the way to Germany to sing about a war 70 years ago that the vast, vast majority singing it will know absolutely nothing about.

I doubt very much the Germans were offended. They'll have been laughing at you and thinking the same as me - what a pack of idiots.

I see that the England football fans are getting a bit of stick again by the press saying .....that it's seventy years ago and that's not what the veterans would have wanted.

What a load of bullshit. It was good against evil and the press are ok to bring four page commemorative inserts out about various commemorative services here, there and everywhere still making money out of the wars. The veterans would love it especially the ones that got killed not knowing the outcome of WW2

Ten Germans Bombers is sang mostly in jest but in my opinion that jest can go on for a thousand years.

We'll not be able to mention the wars at all next.

What is it f***ing coming to?
There was 72 German bombers in the air... haha we were around düsseldorf on Tuesday and it went from 9 to 5 the daft twats cannit count man

They're all on twitter saying how good the atmosphere was and that there was no trouble. Drinking with the English fans after the match as well
That's great ! I personally find the 'war chants ' slightly distasteful, stuff like that should be left out of football , in my opinion of course .

Don't forget they were rebuilt after the war & had a fresh start, a bit like going into administration. They also technically owe 'war money' for what they did over the two wars to a few countries. Money/fines that should have been paid within a few years but has taken decades & apparently they still owe some now.

I was under the opinion that Germany made its last payment in 2010, or thereabouts.

Cringeworthy chant sung by people who don't think before they open their mouths. People who'd be infuriated if Argentinians sang about the Falklands.
:):).why the fuck would they sing about it?
They tried to take it and got their arses slapped.
It's why the Germans are now friendly and don't want to talk about the war. Of course they don't, they also got their arses slapped.
It's a bit banter sang at a football match.its no different to the shit songs clubs sing at one another on a weekly basis.
As it happens, I was in Germany for the World Cup in 2006 when the bomber song was started, the natives weren't offended in the least.

Going to the football is one thing the PC brigade will never take away no matter how hard they try
They can try pretty well sometimes when they get a banning order and their passports have to be handed in at England game time. Not that I would agree with that kind of outcome.
I think the Germans generally couldn't care less, they're probably used to it all by now. Its mildly amusing in a schoolboy kind of way, however, its quite embarrassing in reality.
I like the Germans, they are like us Brits in many ways. Much more so than the French in my experience.

Once a few fans are banned from going to England games, there will be equal outrage in that direction too. Life-long travellers banned for being a bit of a pratt seems OTT also, but you can see it happening.

On the contrary, that period is ingrained into them from an early age.

Much more so than the likes of the Japanese, who seem to skirt around and almost deny their recent history.

Soooo many banning orders need to be handed out if that's the case

I'm only repeating what is being reported.
The FA Bloke said they were looking through tapes of the game last night to identify those who were participating in the offensive chants with a view to banning them.

I should add I was in Germany in 2006 too.

I've never touched the devils nectar before but watching this makes me want to whip off my top, climb on someone's shoulders, down a pint and blast out ten German bombers :cool: best supporters in the world

Maybe they should do chants even further back in history. Maybe the battle of Trafalgar?
Or further back.... battle of hastings?

"There was 10,000 Normans on the ground, there was 10000 Normans on the ground, then the 7000 infantry and archers loyal the to king Harold Godwinson, chopped or shot them down"..........
