Team/Squad as it stands

...............Patterson................
Hume..Ballard..Batth..Cirkin
..........Evans....New MF.........
Roberts...Pritchard...Clarke
..................Stewart..............

Subs from: New GK, Gooch, Wright, O'9, Winchester, Neil, Matete, Embleton, Dajaku, New Striker

Obviously Huggins is injured, but I genuinely think we'll sign a GK this week, a midfielder and a striker before season starts...then another versatile forward before window shuts, then I think that will be us done...O'9 can cover LB & CB

I trust our manager completely. He knows better than anyone on here what our squad should look like.

It’s a squad he is developing not just a team.

As long as he is backed financially I am confident we will have a squad that can do well this season.

It’s hard to know how good this team is as it’s largely untested at championship level, if we keep the confidence and momentum from the end of last season we should hopefully get a decent start. There’s definitely some question marks in some positions but everyone has earned the right from last season to be given a chance. The Coventry game will be a big indicator as they’re a decent championship team. The manager is the difference though, if we had any of the past few managers with this team I’d be worried, Alex Neil though seems a level above.

That team would beat Coventry as it stands imo.

I've been thinking and wide attacking areas need strengthening.

We have Clarke and Roberts who will be likely starters but after that there is Diamond and Dajaku who I don't believe are up to it.

Gooch and Embleton can play there but they will likely be deployed elsewhere

The ideal solution would be a signing a couple of forwards who can play arcoss the attacking positions. Someone like Sam Greenwood would fit the bill

I cant fathom the logic in signing Dajaku permanently. One headscratcher in an otherwise excellent recruitment strategy.

Well Embo doesn't get ahead of Roberts or Clarke. Neil won't play ahead of Matete. O Nien is probably a fair shout because he hassles n hassles
IMO I think Embleton's best position is in the midfield. Just not a fan of Matete. Think we have much better players than him.
